Top movies, books, bands, composers, musical artists:
My favorite books are the Dark Tower series by Stephen King and Stranger in a Strange Land by Richard A. Heinlein. Pretty much anything spooky, really. I've only recently started reading science fiction.
My favorite movies are by Quentin Tarantino. I really enjoy his over-the-top style and witty dialogue. At the other end of the spectrum, I love Gone With the Wind, both the book and the movie.
As for music, I mostly enjoy rock-oriented stuff, but there is some rap/hip hop and pop that I enjoy. I don't know much about it, but I like to turn on the classical station on Pandora when I'm reading or writing. You won't catch me listening to country, and I will whine and complain if you play Christmas music!
How I describe the person I'll like to meet:
He is taller than me, and has any combination of long hair, tattoos and a beard. Bonus points if he can pull off all three! He is patient, kind and generous. He is indoorsy, like me, and likes to read, watch movies and shows, and snuggle. He wants to be around me as much as I want to be around him. And importantly, he wants a 1950s household-type situation and realizes that I am good at and enjoy taking care of my family, and I'm not just lazy, or a gold digger.

Ha! This is the first time I've seen a fetishes section on a website not specifically geares toward it. Anyway, I guess my biggest one is that I'm a (physical) masochist. I also enjoy certain types of bondage.
About Myself:
First, I would like to apologize for my lack of a picture. I would like to get to know the site and it's members a little more before I go plastering my face all over it. In the meantime, I am happy to send you a pic if I like you and you ask nicely.
Oh yeah, I have a daughter. She's 11 and mostly awesome, although at the moment she's being a bit of a drama queen and driving me nuts!
I am indoorsy. The sun hates me and bugs are gross. I do not want to go hiking, camping or fishing. Speaking of bugs, you will be in charge of their disposal, and it would be awesome if you didn't roll your eyes or sigh when I freak out about one that flies. Spiders don't bother me unless they are near the bed, toilet or shower. I kinda feel like they are my allies in the war on bugs.
Things I like to do include reading (a variety of topics and articles online in addition to books), writing, watching movies and shows, and crocheting. Although I like to watch some tv, I do not like to have it on all day. The sound is distracting and after a while, annoying. I prefer to have music as background noise, particularly instrumental stuff if I'm trying to concentrate on something.
Is this getting too long? I guess the weak are being weeded out at this point.
I am from Michigan, and I've been in Tennessee for almost six years. I still don't fit in. I am straightforward and blunt because I don't think anything gets solved by beating around the bush. I've been called a ***, but it was in a loving way. If you can get past the harshness of it you will see that I am usually well meaning and just don't have very good control of my bluntness. Despite all that, I am loyal and dedicated to my core. If I feel like you are taking care of me, I will bend over backwards to make sure you also feel taken care of, as well as to demonstrate my gratitude.
